Project Description

Spine & Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery

Back problems, especially of the lower back, are common orthopaedic problems, which increase with age. Statistics indicate that about 80% of people will experience back problems in their lifetime. Fortunately, in most cases back pain subsides without the need for surgery or long-term treatment. However, if the pain becomes chronic, more intensive interventions may be required including surgery.

Spine surgery is an advanced surgical procedure for problems afflicting the spine or the neck. It nullifies the pain and disability caused by any lesion on the vertebrae, which cannot be treated with non-surgical techniques. Though spinal arthritis can be chronic, the pain is rarely progressive, and in most cases does not require spinal surgery. However severe cases may necessitate surgery including spine fusion, laminectomy and/or decompression.
