Project Description
Arthroscopy
Arthroscopy is a surgical procedure to treat joint problems in patients with arthritis. The operation is conducted with the help of a small, fibre optic arthroscope, which is inserted into the joint through an incision in the skin. The arthroscope is around 5 mm in diameter and is mounted with a tiny camera on the tip of a narrow tube with its own light source. The surgical team follows the progress of the operation on a monitor.
